About Our Site
This site was originally created as an informational resource for fellow reproductive immunology patients at the former Yahoo Reproductive Immunology Support Group. Our website has since expanded and now provides articles and information for all those suffering immune-based miscarriage, infertility or "unexplained" pregnancy complications. Included is information about immune tests such as the natural killer cell assay, Th1/Th2 cytokine assay, antiphospholipid antibody testing and thrombophilia testing. We also share information about the latest treatments, such as IVIG, Intralipids, G-CSF (Neopogen), Lymphocyte Immunization Therapy (LIT) and TNF-alpha inhibitors (Humira and Enbrel). Lastly, our site offers an updated list of collaborating doctors and links to other sites. Many of our web pages were inspired and created by patients from our original support group. For those who feel ready to investigate immune therapy, we also recommend the Alan E. Beer Center website**, the Alan E.Beer Medical Center Facebook page and the updated 2019 Edition of the book Is Your Body Baby Friendly? We feel that, with correct diagnosis and treatment, many couples suffering so-called "unexplained" failure can eventually reach their dream of having a healthy baby.
** Please note: Our site was created for patients by patients. Our site has no official affiliation with the Alan E. Beer Center. Information from this site is intended educational purposes only, not to substitute for medical advice. Please consult with your physician before undergoing any form of medical treatment.
